My Chinatown Community Art Exhibition

The London Chinatown Oral History Project is delighted to present the 'My Chinatown Arts Exhibition'. A collection of art pieces cretaed by Mei Yuk Wong, Keng Ho Fong, Asaki Kan, Man Fai Ma and Ian Vines. This exhibition has been inspired by what the artists have personally taken from reading the interviewees' life stories and what they have learnt about the historical development of London Chinatown and Chinese culture in general.

With this initiative, CMHA aims to eneage artists and members of the public and encourage them to share their vision and experiences of Chinatown's history and its evolution to the present day. The final result is the creation of artwork that expresses an appreciation and a reflection of this significant period in which the heart of the London Chinese community was developed and gave these Chinese people a sense of belonging in London.
