When she first travelled to the UK, Rainee saw the elderly people wandering about in the streets and her idea of serving the elderly people emerged from this. Raine came over to the UK in the 90s. Soon after her family and life had settled down, she got involved in community work. Over the last 15 years she has been working in different Chinese community organisations including the Chinese Community Centre in Chinatown. Rainee has a lot of insights into the lives and backgrounds of the Chinese elderly. She knows them well and treats them with her heart. Apart from community work, she is also a volunteer teacher at Chinese school in London. She has a passion for conveying Chinese culture.
